Training

Using natural horsemanship methods I will re-start your horse or work through problems that you may be having to help you re-establish the trust needed to go further. I will help you form a natural relationship that utilizes communication on a level that the horse clearly understands. I will help you work with your horse as a partner, not as a dictator or source of treats. 

Through playing games I will help you determine what personality type your horse is so that you can build a relationship based on respect rather than domination. If you are looking for someone to just jump on top of your horse and put 30 days on them, then you need to find someone else. My goal is to assess your horse from the ground, fix some of the issues, and gain some trust while helping you understand what you need to do in order to fix the problems you are having with your horse. I believe that if you don’t have respect from the ground you won’t have it in the saddle.

RATES:

RIDING LESSONS      $120/hr 

Private Riding Lessons (1hr)

1st 15min brush the horse and get the saddle on, ride for 30 min, last 15 take the saddle off, brush and care for. When things get more familiar it can be up to 45 min of riding depending on how quickly you learn how to tack up or if you like the brushing, up to the individual.

Horsemanship Lessons $120/hr

2 hr lessons (1 hr horsemanship/1 hr riding)

Package for 2 hour lessons

 

*24 hour cancelation or you will be charged for lesson

Special Care (medicating bath, treatment, holding horse for vet, farrier, etc...) $25/half hour

 

Commission (agent in sale purchase or lease) 15%

 

TRAINING

Training  $120/hr

Training package 3x/week $650/month plus millage

 

Lunging 2x/week (15 min sessions) $60

I specialize in beginner lessons. I teach steering and stopping in the round pen until one knows how to properly rein the horse, stop it and move in the right direction. I use cones to learn arena patterns. We move out of the round pen when the student shows me they can properly manage the horse and then we work on patterns in a larger arena. you can see some examples of this in my photo gallery videos. 

 

I DO NOT allow trotting until most of the basics are down and then we move to the next level
